I feel awkward with him waiting on me all the time

I like this guy who works at a local hotel, he is manager of food and beverage. He's always friendly with me, and he's very efficient, I like that. But the thing is that he is usually waiting on us at town events when we are at that hotel for meetings, luncheons, parties or just a night out at the bar.

He could easily be with us at these events, but since it's his job and his hotel, it's just a matter of circumstance that he is always waiting on us. I find that awkward since I see him as more than just a waiter, I see him as my boif, in my head of course, but none the less.

I mean he could easily be at the table with me at an event, but because it's his job to service the guests (service the guests, lol), he is not in a position to just plop down and sit at the table with us. I want to change that. I may stop over and see him today on the pretense of something else. He's so adorable, I just love to just look at him.
